A greater understanding

I had a moment to sit down and read this book today. I only read about the first 10 pages before it was time to go build a train with Silas (Ya know the "mom, mom, mom, mom, mom"). Anyway those 10 pages were so inspiring and uplifting that I cannot wait to pick the book up again. I felt so much reverence and peace as I looked at the pictures and read the short message on the side of the pictures. There was one message that really stood out in my mind tonight. "Those who do God's will are not guaranteed comfortable lives. But they are promised that everything, even their discomfort, has meaning in God's plan." I have written about 10 different sentences trying to explain why this quote is so meaningful to me, only to erase them. I am not one that can blog openly about my religion. I am always feeling the need to keep my feelings private about my Heavenly Father. What I will say is............I always feel alone and forgotten when it comes to my most difficult trials. After I read this quote I knew that I was not alone, that my Heavenly Father hears my prayers and that my life, my trials, my happiness all has meaning. Somehow I feel a bit braver now.

I must have this!!! Like I told you... I am not a big reader, but small stories that are uplifting are some of my favorites. Thank you for being there for me the other day. Not very many people have come over and given me a real massage! Now that is a true friend (: You're amazing and we are still praying for you.
