Silas' 3 year photos

It is 4am and I am wide awake! Silas has had a bad cough for a couple weeks now that seems to be worse at night. After trying every possible remedy, I gave up on sleep. Silas is watching Mickey Mouse and I am blogging, LOL. These are Silas' 3 year old photos.............There are so many good ones it is hard to pick. I just love all of his expressions and his big grin. Gosh I just LOVE this kid!!!!! Every time I look at him I am reminded of how lucky I am to be his mother. How many YEARS I prayed for him, and nights spent crying for the chance to be his mom. I know that Heavenly Father heard my prayers and brought us together. I am thankful that Chelsea was able to be so selfless, she focused on Silas and what his needs were, and found us! It is amazing to be apart of the miracle of adoption. Sweet dreams my friends, go give the ones you love an extra hug.

Family Pictures!

As always Alesha Russo did our photos and I just love them. Now I just need to buy frames and buy prints!!! I have so many wonderful photos and hardly any of them are up in the house. It seems like such an overwhelming task, there are too many decisions. Black or white, What size frame, which picture to use for which frame, and then where to put it on the wall? I am the only one that finds this difficult? HOw do my blogging friends tackle this task...please do tell.

Silas is potty trained

Silas is potty trained..........ok so this is old news but I had to post pictures. This happened in September just before his 3rd birthday. We told him he could earn a new buzz light year bike once he was potty trained. It only took about a week and he was using the potty every time.

Silas learned how to ride his bike without training wheels about a week later! He has amazing balance and just loves to move! I can't believe he did all this before he was even 3! I love going for bike rides with him....people are always staring because it almost looks strange to see him riding his bike so young. lol

10 year Anniversary

Just wanted to highlight a few things that happened this summer! Ethan and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary!!!! We went to Seattle for 3 days, it was wonderful to be alone with Ethan and torturous to be away from Silas. We did all the fun things that there is to do in Seattle, We went to the Public Market, Art museum, Space needle, Emp museum, the underground tour, and lots of awesome restaurants.

I haven't died

I am sure everyone is wondering what is happening in the fabulous life of Emily Despain. The answer is lots!!!! I will be sure to post it all in the days to come. I don't have big news to announce so don't start getting ideas about anything.....we have just been busy living. Pictures coming soon.
